The VIII Andean Fair of Games of Chance, FADJA 2006 will take place in Bogota, Colombia, March 29 and 30. Organizers hope it that will prove that Colombia’s economic recovery is up and running.
      FADG’s Jose Anibal Aguirre believes that investors in the coin-op gaming and entertainmentindustry will benefit from the event that will cover 6,000 sq.m of the Corferias exhibition center.

The presence of the Netherlands, UK, belarus, Slovenia, Germany, Spain, Korea, china, Taiwan, Canada, czech Republic, US, Spain, brazil, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia guarantees, according to Jose Anibal Aguirre, general director of FADJA, that the eighth edition of the fair will be the best so far and will offer a great opportunity for visitors to do business.
      Among the 70 exhibitors that have confirmed or reserved a space at FADJA 2006, are – JCM American Corporaion, Suzo Americas, Elitesa, automated Transaction, WMS Gaming, Excalibur Games, Elo Touch Systems, TCS John Huxley, Hot Games, aLAJ,, Industries C and T, camazar, Fecolijuego, belatra, DesAtronic, Global Payment, Valtech International, cash Code, ace Toy and Game Co, Gold Club, Atronic International, American Slots, R, Franco America, bally Gaming and Systems, IGT, Octavian and Unidesa Gaming & Systems. Using the figures and companies quoted above as evidence, this year’s FAJDA should prove to be the biggest and best organized one yet.


The bustling sights, sounds and thrills of the rides and inflatable that add colour and excitement to the leisure, attractions and amusement industry were on display last month at the Euro Attractions Show in Vienna. Held at the messe Wein, EAS 2006 filled narly 8,000sq.m of floor space with over 250 exhibitors spanning 50-plus categories. One of the visually exciting components of the EAS trade show floor was the display of theme park rides and massive inflatable. Companies involved in amusement and theme parks, carnivals, fairs and showmen, family entertainment centers, water parks, zoos and aquariums, museums and science centers, stadiums and arenas gathered to find out what they could add to their facilities. Ride manufactures include Farley Technologies, Ital International , L & T Systems, Lamborghini SNC, Mondial, Moser, Premier Rides, Sally Corporation, Zamperla and Zierer Karussell. Inflatable companies included Aoqi, Jumbo Inflatable, Ninja Jump, Pie Inflatable, The Inflatable Depot and The Inflatable Store.

EAS also offered a range of conference  programmes and special events.   A multi-lingual education seminar program provided learning opportunities fr super;visors, middle managers and top executives. Operators from across Europe and around the world shared their experiences and expertise on how they are making their amusement park, zoo or attractions more revenue, provide better services, make more profit and attract more guests. Special events for attendees included a tour of the Schonbrun Palace, the EAS Welcome Reception and the EAS Gala at the Vienna Rathaus.

To be eligible to win, participants must be 21 years or older. Winners must be present and are liable for any applicable taxes and all transportation costs. No cash equivalent for prizes will be given.


      T he second Annual Texus Hold’em Charity event is scheduled for St.Patrick’s Day at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, to coincide with the ASI show. The event will be held on Friday, March 17 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago from 7pm to 12pm. AAMCF is offering two levels of sponsorship for the above event, Poker table sponsors will have their company’s name listed in the ASI show directory, as well as on all poker tbles, two complimentary seats and $500 worth of chips each for the game. Each complimentary player will also receive an additional $100 in chips – all for $1,000.

      Prize sponsors receive a listing in the show directory and on signage during the event for $500. The top seven winners will receive American Express gift certificates; supported by the prize sponsors. Seat reservations and sponsorship requests are now available on the AAMA website.
